September 30, 2015 at Camp Grayling, MI- Tactical Knife for Law Enforcement ($150 enrollment)

Course Description:

Many Law Enforcement Officers carry a knife or knives on their person, and during a life and death assault this may be the best weapon of opportunity when defending oneself. But how many officers really know how to use an edge weapon if needed.

In this 1 day course officers will train using the knife as an offensive tool. Officers will train in the different ranges and grips involved when using a knife. Officers will also get an understanding of how fast a suspect can deploy an edge weapon. The course will also cover using a knife when multiple attackers are involved and the officer’s knife is the only option.

To defeat the dragon, one must know the dragon. By understanding how to use an edge weapon, officers will have a better understanding the dangers of facing edge weapons and the importance of gaining distance/cover while drawing their firearm.

This course will be active, come prepared.
Officers will need their duty belts, a red gun (if possible) and a white t-shirt.

Course Instructed by: ILEA Physical Tactics Instructor Nick Pollaro.
Nick is a Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Martial Arts Instructor and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.
