Course Description:

This two day working seminar focuses on the K9 and handler
responsibilities during a high risk traffic stop. Day one begins with a classroom
presentation by Ron Hantz and Jeff Rynearson from Protrain, Incorporated covering K9
vehicle placement, responsibilities and “send or don’t send” situations.

The second half of day one is spent on teaching the progression for a dog, behind
cover, to deploy through an open window to clear “suspect” vehicle. Day two is spent on
scenario based training during simulated high risk traffic stops.

Proficient off-leash control and/or the Remote Collar Introduction Course is preferred
prior to this course.
