Joe Bastian


Joe Bastian has served on active duty in the United States Army for 10 years as an infantryman, and has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan in combat operations. Joe is a former instructor at the United States Army Sniper School, where he was the primary instructor for stalking, camouflage and concealment, marksmanship, and several other specialized subjects.

While serving as an instructor, he taught over 1200 students, and was in charge of a mentor group of over 120 students, from which over 85% graduated as snipers. Joe has conceptualized, designed, and implemented multiple events for the International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning, Georgia. Joe is one of the first service members from the United States to become trained and certified in the operation of Marathon Robotic Human-Type Robotics. Joe received the Sgt. Audie Murphy Award in 2012, and is a member of the Army Sniper Association. Joe will be instructing courses in Basic Rifle Marksmanship, Long Range Marksmanship, Camouflage and Concealment, Urban Operations, and Staling Techniques.
